Issa Sombié, PhD Sociology and MSc Population and Health, works as university professor in Burkina Faso, where he teaches Sociology, Program Management, Strategic and Operational Planning, Program and Public Policy Evaluation. He is an Evaluation trainer at the CLEAR for Francophone Africa. He has led several training sessions in Benin, Burkina Faso, Côte d’Ivoire, Niger, Togo and Senegal. During a period of 10 years, Dr. Sombié was the coordinator of the Regional Monitoring and Evaluation Training Program at Ouaga University in Burkina Faso. In addition to teaching and training, he is an evaluation consultant, in this position he has participated in several program and policy evaluation missions in West Africa. Issa Sombié is member of the Burkina Faso Monitoring and Evaluation Association (ReBuse) and the African Evaluation Association (AfréA),and is author of a variety ofarticles and book chapters on evaluation in Africa.
